Hello, hello
again everyone! Once again it’s been so long since I’ve written an entry! We
got to so busy this fall; the time really did fly by! Here’s a brief re-cap
that should bring ya’ll up to speed :)
We ended out
the summer with a bang, we boated a few more times and Miss Lily really started
to love the water. We can’t wait until next season begins!
In early
September it was time to celebrate OctoberBrides Bachelorette trip! We made the
trek down to the warm, sunny beaches of Miami and what a fun weekend it was! We
stayed at the infamous Fountain Bleu hotel and dined at the delicious Michael
Mina 74 restaurant. We danced the night away at one of the most popular night
clubs Liv; and we enjoyed bottomless mimosas and my all time favorite—champagne
mojitos! We also had to make a stop at Wet Willie’s where we met a fun group of
women celebrating their 40th birthdays! The weather was amazing and the crowds
were wonderful!
The following
weekend Mr Tan Lines and I drove down to Atlanta to visit an old friend…Garth
Brooks! We were lucky enough to score tickets to his 2014 world tour. It was my
first time seeing Garth in concert and Mr Tan Lines 3rd. He did not disappoint,
the show was incredible! His beautiful wife Trisha Yearwood also joined him on
stage for a few songs which was just magical :)
On October 3rd
Gamecox celebrated her big day and oh it was so much fun! It was the first ever
wedding held at the South Carolina Statehouse, I cannot begin to tell you how
cool that was! The food was delicious, the music was fun and we had such a
great time celebrating the happy couple. They even had a little visit from
someone very special…check it out!
After that,
PHEW I KNOW…it was time for the South Carolina State Fair! It was my very first
state fair and I was so super excited! I rode my very first ferris wheel among
other fun rides and enjoyed fresh squeezed lemonade and funnel cakes, DUH!
Then the
following weekend we made the 9 hour drive to Annapolis, MD to celebrate the
marriage of my very best friend OctoberBride! Her wedding was held at the Chesapeake
Bay Foundation right on the beach and it was beautiful! She was a stunning
bride!
The following
weekend our one year wedding anniversary was upon us! We could not believe it
had been one year already, it truly was a whirlwind. To think that in just one
year we got married, visited the beautiful Antigua, New York City, Las Vegas,
Los Angeles, moved to a completely different state, bought a home and started a
new life in South Carolina, visited Maryland and spent the summer boating on
Lake Murray..just to name a few! I felt so blessed and lucky to have been able
to experience such an incredible year, it was one we will never forget! We were
actually down in Auburn for the USC game, but when we came home Sunday I cooked
us a delectable surf & turf!
Here are a few throwbacks to some of my favorite pictures from our wedding day :)
Next came
Halloween! We were so excited that our neighborhood is SO friendly and we were
told to prepare for about 150 trick-or-treaters! We sat outside and handed out
every single piece of our candy! We dressed Miss Lily up as an Auburn Tiger…didn’t
she look great?!
Believe it or
not it snowed, yes SNOWED down here on November 1st! We were completely shocked
to wake up to 4 inches of the powdery stuff; especially considering it had been
60 degrees the night before! We enjoyed the day playing in the snow, Miss Lily
was so happy! But alas, it had all almost melted by the next morning!
Finally on
the weekend of November 8th we made our second trip down to Auburn for the
Texas A&M game. We had a wonderful time and win or lose we still love our
Tigers!
All of these
exciting trips & activities lead us up to our vacation to celebrate our one
year wedding anniversary which I mentioned a few months back, we finally got to
take our trip to Cabo! It got pushed back a week due to hurricane damage but it
made no difference to us, November 17th we were off and super excited! Check in
tomorrow for pictures from our trip :) Here's a sneak peak, this particular picture also happens to be my favorite!
