Clam Gets Married!

Guess who had a fabulous weekend?! ME! US! YAY!

Happy Tuesday! :)

As I mentioned we headed to Virginia for Clam’s wedding this past weekend and it did not disappoint! The rehearsal dinner on Friday night was beautiful and at one of our favorite restaurants!

We got to munch on things like grilled cheese on a stick, caesar salad spring rolls, mini-sliders and the cutest little french onion soups you ever did see..

After the rehearsal dinner we headed out to a few fun bars where we got to catch up with some old friends!

Saturday was THE day and what a day it turned out to be! The weather cleared up just in time for the ceremony and made for blue skies full of smiles and love :)

The wedding was held in a historic manor and offered beautiful views of the accompanying golf course.

A huge highlight was getting to spend time with M&M :)

We dance the night away and ended the evening just like any other day, with a selfie of course!

I didn't get any good shots of the newlyweds so I will post them later! Have a great Tuesday!

Living Like a Vanderbilt!

Happy Tuesday!

How was everyone’s weekend? Ours was pretty great! I got to do something super cool; I spent the entire weekend living it up like a Vanderbilt at the infamous Biltmore Estate!

I got to call this place home for a few days and boy was it amazing! We stayed at The Inn on the Biltmore grounds which is a 5-star, 4-Diamond resort.

We began Thursday night with a quiet evening enjoying drinks & a view!

Check out the pretty rainbow that decided to join us!

Friday morning I woke up early and did something I’ve always wanted to do, I went on a horse backing riding tour! The tour took us throughout the grounds where we got to see the luscious gardens and horse trails.

We also came out of the woods to see the west façade of the house, it was breath taking!

Following my horseback riding tour we did a private tour of the wine production facilities for the Biltmore winery.

I KNOW. This was right up my alley and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was so informational and I learned A TON about wine production.

We were able to see the storage and cooling facilities, along with the actual production tanks.

After the fabulous tour we enjoyed a private wine tasting of the exclusive Biltmore Reserve wines as well as the more popular Biltmore brand wines.

Friday night we were able to enjoy a delicious dinner that included grilled ice berg lettuce with caesar dressing and parmesan cheese accompanied with a yummy and piping hot french onion soup!

Saturday was really cool; we went to The Biltmore house and took in its beauty! Here are some fast facts about the Biltmore Estate. It was built 1889 – 1895 and designed by Richard Morris Hunt & Frederick Law Olmstead (Olmstead also designed The Mall in Washington, DC!) It is the largest privately owned house in the US and comes in at a whopping 176,000 sq. There are a ton of crazy facts but the one that stuck out the most was that there are 43 bathrooms, yes 43!!

The grounds are beautiful, with gardens and hidden walkways all over.

I then did a private Architects Tour that took me through the house and out onto the rooftop! From here we had amazing views of the grounds and of the house!

A fun fact, one of the many movies that were filmed here is the 1994 hit starring Macaulay Culkin as Richie Rich!

It was a perfect and relaxing weekend!

Since I've Been Gone!

Hey y’all! I know I’ve been away for far too long and I apologize! I started a new (and awesome) job that keeps me busy! Let’s just skip to the good part shall we? Here’s what we’ve been up to!

Boating, boating and boating galore! #lakelife has been awesome and we have been having so much fun exploring new areas of Lake Murray!

I went home in mid April for the beautiful Chloe’s wedding shower! It was so much fun to see everyone and we cannot wait for the wedding in just a few short weeks!

Marley and Miss Lily celebrated their 6th and 2nd birthdays respectively and it was so cute! We made them delicious steak dinners that they devoured!

We (sadly) went to watch our Washington Capitals get taken out of the series which was heart breaking!

We attended the 6th annual Lexington Wine Festival which was super fun! There were a ton of local vendors; I finally got to try muscadine wine too! We went with Mr Tans Line’s cousin and husband that thankfully live so close now!

For Memorial Day Weekend & my birthday we headed to Charleston for some beach time and delicious food, it did not disappoint! We had the most delicious steak and wine ever at Grill 225. We enjoyed the brunch at Poogan’s Porch and loved the fresh, vibrant menu at R Kitchen. We cannot wait to go back!

We also went to check out The Angel Oak, it is estimated to be around 400 years old and it’s just beautiful!

I promise I will try to keep y’all properly updated!! I’m off to a first class trip this weekend in North Carolina, can’t wait to tell you guys all about it!
