The Best People In Life Are Free

^^Quote from the Queen Taylor Swift!^^

WE DID IT AGAIN!!

I left y’all in the dark, waiting, watching, craving a new blog post, and I let you down. Kidding, I know you probably didn’t miss me, but I missed you! Blogging is such a relaxing and enjoyable activity for me, I’ve just gotten so busy it’s been difficult to find the time!

Mr Tan Lines and I have been just great! 2016 was an absolutely incredible year for our family and our lovestory. We traveled, we welcomed two new family members and we continued to make each other happy :)

Mr Tan Lines learned how to wake surf, which is SO cool, he is completely obsessed and cannot wait to hit the lake this year.

We saw—well, why don’t I just take you through and show you everything as well! Here we go!

We kicked off 2016 with a surprise trip to Nashville with S&R. It was an AWESOME TRIP I LOVE NASHVILLE TAKE ME BACK OH WAIT WE ARE ACTUALLY GOING BACK IN MAY YASSSS

Sorry, ok, so it was an amazing trip!!  We hit all of the hot spots, Tootsie’s, Honky Tonk Central, Margaritaville, Merchants, The Stage, Country Music Hall of Fame and the list goes on! We had so much fun celebrating Mr Tan Lines 30th birthday!

Next came some lake fun, yes, lake fun in February!! We just can’t stay away!

 And let's not forget about our Valentine's Day tradition, lobster tails and steak! <3

March brought on a family cruise with S&R and my in-laws. We took a 7-day cruise to Jamaica, Key West, The Bahamas and Grand Cayman. It was an awesome week! Although I never quite got my sea legs, it was a great bonding experience for all! We got to see so many cool places in just a week!

{Grand Cayman}

April was a particularly great month because two awesome things happened, first, MY NEPHEWS WERE BORN! YES I KNOW! Luti announced her pregnancy in October of 2015 and then wins arrived right on time on April 22nd. I got to meet them a week later because we were in Vegas that same weekend, I know, life is SO hard right?!

Aren’t they just the cutest!!

As I mentioned, we headed to Vegas because I am lucky to work for an awesome company and boy did we have a blast! We gambled (nope didn’t win anything), walked the strip, ate at some amazing restaurants (hit a Bobby Flay, Gordon Ramsay AND Wolfgang place!)

But our favorite activity in Vegas was renting a Ferrari and driving it through the Valley of Fire State Park. It was unreal you guys. Hands down one of the most fun things we have ever done!!

{Hoover Dam}

The month of May brought on sunshine and MY BIRTHDAY!! We had some more lake days, obviously and we headed to Raleigh to see none other than Kenny Chesney in concert. It was hot, hot, hot, but he puts on such an amazing show!

{Tailgaiting for Kenny}

June brought on the peak of lake days and enjoying times with friends and family!

{Summer SoirĂ©e}

We traveled to Virginia in July to hang out with friends and go on the Great American Bus Trip, remember we used to do that every year with our friends? Well, we were lucky enough to once again be part of the experience! Go Nats!

In August we traveled back to Virginia for the twin’s baptism. We are so proud to be aunt and uncle to these adorable little cuties!!

September brought on football and tailgaiting, both did not disappoint! Although our Tigers played an awesome season, we’re definitely looking forward to this year!

{Twin Tax}

{Lake Time}

October allowed us the opportunity to once again travel to our wedding spot in Orange Beach, AL for a good friend’s wedding. It was so nice to be back in the spot where it all began!

We got a chance to see my in-laws and attended the Gulf Shores Shrimp Festival…yummy!

Almost 3 years to the day!

{Wedding Beach}

And a few more lake days, including a visit from CLAM!

November…I know!! November was NOVCHI time! Mr Tan Lines and I visited Chicago for the first time and met up with some very special friends! What a beautiful city!

We got to see all of the popular sites and eat at some great restaurants!

{RPM Steak}

My in-laws came to visit and we had a wonderful time making gumbo and watching The Iron Bowl!

Al fin, it was December! We once again made the trek to New York City and ate our way around the city! Of course we had pizza, pizza and more pizza! We also checked out the Taylor Swift Experience which was super cool!

The highlight of the trip was attending a Jets vs Dolphins game in a private suite! Talk about work perks!!

And then it was Christmas time! I loved seeing my family and we had a blast catching up with each other and celebrating the year!

We also did something really cool, we tried one of those Escape Room Live experiences which was epic! We actually escaped with less than 2 minutes left on the clock! 10/10 would do another one again!!

I know this flew by, but so did 2016! Thanks for reading and I promise not to let another year go by without a post!

Cheers!!
