Baby, Just Say Yes!

Our wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life, it was absolutely perfect! We could not have asked for better weather, or a better group of people to share our special day with. We are still so thankful for everyone that came and helped make it so amazing.

Below is our wedding story :)

We decided to get married in Orange Beach, Alabama, it was actually a really easy decision! We both always dreamed of getting married on a beach and once Mr Tan Lines showed me how beautiful Orange Beach was, I was sold!

Even on a dreary day it is still so beautiful!

These pictures are from my hair trial at the salon I found in Fairhope, Alabama.

These were my beautiful earrings that I purchased from a shop on Etsy.

This was taken 10 days before, if you can't tell I was very, very excited!

We snapped this picture in the airport the day we left Virginia for Sweet Home Alabama. We left 5 days before our wedding date, we were so ready to get down there!

Upon arriving in Orange Beach this was the view from our room at the resort. You guys, this resort was beautiful and had some of the most breathtaking views.

Behind us in this one is the bay!

Friday before our wedding my awesome Mother In Law and some of her friends threw me a bridal luncheon. They decorated it beautifully and it was a great way for some of the girls to meet before the wedding.

Later that afternoon we headed down to the beach for the actual rehearsal. This moment, I think is when I started getting little butterflies in my stomach!

This was taken as we were leaving to head to the rehearsal dinner. At this point I think everything seemed so surreal, we couldn't believe it was OUR rehearsal dinner!

Our rehearsal dinner was at a beautiful restaurant located at The Wharf. We rented out a large space and even hired an acoustic guitar player to entertain our guests during dinner. The menu was nothing short of traditional Alabama goodness, a classic shrimp boil. We had shrimp, red skin potatoes, sausage and corn! Everyone thought it was delicious and we loved showing our guests what the south is all about!

After the rehearsal dinner we headed out with some of our guests to the famous FloraBama bar! It was so, so much fun! This place is awesome and I recommend you go at least once! There are several different rooms and there were a few live bands. It's right on the beach and it's the perfect laid back beach bar!

And then it was time!

I had the hair and make up artist come to the resort, it eliminated one more thing off of my to-do list that day. It was so fun to sit around and be pampered whilst surrounded by my family and bridal party!

I bought this cute little hanger off of Etsy, just one more touch of uniqueness!

Time for some mimosas!

Then it was finally time for me to put my dress on, yay!

I swear I would have slept in this dress if it wasn't so hot, I did not want to take it off!

We decided together that we wanted to do a "first look" early on during planning. We both wanted to share the special moment of seeing each other for the first time together and alone. We were both full of nervous energy so I am SO happy we did this. We spent 20 minutes by ourselves taking some pictures and just taking it all in.

We just stood there for a few moments and waited to catch our breath.

As I mentioned the weather was absolutely perfect! It was 75 degrees out and not a single cloud in the sky!

My beautiful bridesmaids! Left to right, Kristin, Luti (my sister), Chloe and Andi!

I think I was actually mocking a picture I saw on Pinterest when I did this, but it actually turned out cute!

And here we go!

Walking down the aisle with my dad was so special, he was so happy and excited! Plus, look how handsome he looked! :)

"I will."

I now pronounce you husband and wife!

We're married!!

Now it was time for more pictures! Prior to the wedding I made an extensive list for my photographer and also had a secret Pinterest board for him. This made the day go by smoothly. I didn't want our bridal party standing around and missing all of the fun!

One of my favorites!

This was taken on the docks behind the restaurant where our reception was, how awesome huh?!

Here we are making our grand entrance!

First dance to "Kissed You" by Gloriana <3

We were also lucky enough to have these beautiful pictures taken as the sun was setting.

Love this one!

This was the reception and dance floor. The restaurant was located right next to the resort, it was easy for our guests to go back and forth! I loved the vintage string lights and up-lighting that our DJ did. We had promised our guests "a night of dancing under stars" and that was what they got!

Our wedding guests :)

Time to party!

Our delicious chocolate and vanilla cupcake tower!

I loved our cake toppers, I got them off of Etsy..shocker!

I think 95% of our guests agreed that their favorite part of the wedding was getting to release Chinese wish lanterns. We had markers so everyone could write their own wishes and then we all released them at the same time!

Then we got back to the party!

Last song of the night, "With or Without You" by U2. One of my absolute favorite songs. It's so romantic and I get teary eyed every time I hear it!

Grand exit lit by sparklers!

And our even more grand exit, leaving by boat! It was the perfect end to a perfect day!

Of course I couldn't leave out some honeymoon pictures!! Antigua was beautiful and we loved every minute of it!

Here's to our happily ever after :)
